Product Description
The new 2008 Version 2 Phil & Ted's Sport stroller has made a good thing even better! The Phil & Ted's Sport Buggy has kept all the great features of the popular e3 model, including the adjustable smooth swivel / fixed wheel design and single action dual-rear brakes, but also includes many innovative additions that won't leave you guessing why it's called “new and improved”. The Sport is the perfect stroller for any growing family, as the Phil & Ted's Sport Doubles Kit easily clicks into place so that this stylish single stroller can quickly accommodate another child. The adjustable padded seat allows for comfort and ideal positioning for infants of any age, ranging from a completely flat bed for newborns to an upright chair for toddlers.

4 out of 5 stars Great potential, a few problems   January 23, 2010

This is a GREAT strroller- in theory. But it's obviously a young company with a few bugs to work out. We bought the Sport with doubles package, and for two small children, there isn't a better option out there. of course there are compromises like lack of storage with a child in the lower seat, but that can be solved with sidebags (although they aren't so ideal). The stroller is maneuverable, compact when folded (folding could be easier- I think this was improved in the newer models), and fairly good quality. The negatives are notable, however: Overpriced, horrible wheel design (plan on buying replacement tubes, and go to a bikeshop to have any burrs filed down), and lack of good sunshade and cupholders. But I still give it 4 stars because it beats the heck out of a double-wide or double-long stroller.

Ultimately disappointed with the Phil. Bought it in hopes of never having to buy a stroller again and now I want to get rid of it as fast as possible! Sun visor doesn't even cover child AT ALL, wheels are always flat, no cup holder attachment works well (I bought the BOB attachment and it works great), extremely difficult to buckle seat completely upright, view screen to see infant not placed well, handle bar should extend out not rotate up/down- not helpful for taller people. What else? Nothing positive to say! Selling it asap and buying a BOB. Very disappointed and bitter!

4 out of 5 stars Great Stroller, terrible Sunshade   January 11, 2009

I researched strollers for months before we invested in this stroller, but for us it was almost perfect. The tires are great, even in snow and ice, and the basket is large. The available doubles kit means that I don't have to store a single stroller for my one baby and a double for my in home daycare. The stroller lays flat for a newborn and the ability to buy a converter for the car seat means I don't have to worry about having a travel system. This will be the last stroller I ever buy. (And we're planning on having several children.)

However, I am VERY disappointed in the sunshade. For a stroller of this price I would think you would have something more substantial, like the City Mini. The shade feels almost like they forgot all about it, and it was added in at the last minute. You can't adjust it, it is either on or off, and when it's on it doesn't do much, as it's tiny.

All in all, I love my stroller, but wish every time I use it that the sunshade was better.

4 out of 5 stars Great stroller   July 17, 2008

We looked long and hard to find a stroller that would be good for long walks on uneven streets, and finally decided on this one - we have not been disappointed at all. The pneumatic tires absorb the big bumps, the steering is easy and taking curbs is a cinch. Only two things keeping me from giving a full five stars: the mud guards rub against the tires despite adjustments (we took them off), and it is a bit awkward to fold/unfold and fit in the trunk (need more practice).

4 out of 5 stars Practical Portable Perfect   March 20, 2008

If you are contemplating in purchasing a Bugaboo, just skip it and go for this stroller. After chatting with many owners of the Bugaboo, we found out that it is difficult to collapse. We love to travel and did not want this to become a huge issue so we decided to purchase the P&T's stroller. It collapses in seconds. My honey wanted a jogger and another stroller for an urban setting. I wanted something that would do both, because I did not want to go through the expense of purchasing two strollers and having to decide when to take which stroller, etc. The only minus is that when lowering the seat for a sleeping child, the pulls for the zipper can easily break so you have to remember to lower it prior to putting the child in it, raise the child slightly so the fabric is loose, or not to lower it. Ours broke and this section was easily exchanged at no cost with no questions asked.
