great stroller July 10, 2010 mom pappala (connecticut) I bought this stroller after looking at sit and stand strollers for my 2+1/2 year old and 4 year old children. I test drove the sit and stands and did not like how large and heavy they were. Since my children are older I just wanted a light weight stroller that one child could ride and one could stand on. I found this stroller and am very happy with the purchase. It folds a bit thicker than an umbrella stroller but is very light weight. Some people say it feels wobbly and rickety, which it does, however it does have a solid frame , I was able to push my 32lb 2+1/2 year old sitting in the seat and my 36lb 4 year old standing on the back over a gravel parking lot with very little effort. The tray opens easily and the seat is very adjustable. The standing area on the back is really just a tiny ledge but both of my children enjoy standing on it and holding on to the handles for stability. The handle extension is useful for leaving room for a child standing in back. The fabric is removable and washable and the basket is very large for an umbrella type stroller, the canopy is fantastic also. It is not as easy to navigate as my maclaren stroller but I use this instead since it is more useful to have the standing option on the back for a second child.
Compared to the Graco... June 3, 2010 N. Rowan (Durham, NC) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Well, let me just say first off I do NOT own this stroller and I am glad of it! I am researching strollers like a true crazy person these days. I currently am using a second-hand Graco something or other that someone gave me. It is big, cumbersome and heavy. However, it glides down the sidewalk easily, is easy to push uphill and is extremely sturdy (not wobbly at all). It is probably 7 years old!
I recently ran into a friend who has the Pilko 3. What I can say about it is: WOW! That sun visor is incredible! HUGE and luscious blocking out all the sun and some! But I gave it a little walk down the side walk and it creaked and wobbled horribly.
I suddenly looked at my ugly Graco with serious appreciation. SOOO glad I didn't buy it - not sure what I will end up buying, but not this over-priced wobbly thing. I am glad other reviewers like it though - it is the worst to spend your good money on something and then regret it later.
Collapsing is a pain February 25, 2010 Carla Williams 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We bought this stroller after months of reviewing others. This stroller has some nice features; however, this is our first night with it and we can't fold it! Upon much googling I find folding to be a common problem. We also can not stand the instructions, which are pictures only and hard to tell in some of them what is going on. We feel for the money spent (we also bought the car seat to make a travel system) this stroller does not meet or exceed our expectations.
I was expecting better quality. February 3, 2010 M. Bridges 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This stroller is for the most part plastic. I have had it for 2 months now, and no problems so far.... I don't think it will last until my son is out of strollers. I have a Maclaren Triumph, but wanted something that reclined fully. I went with this over a XLR, because I liked the tray, and the parent cup holder (worthless). I wish I would have went with the XLR. This stroller takes up a ton of trunk space, and dosen't push nearly as easy as my Maclaren. I unfortunately can't justify another stroller so soon after buying this one.
WASTE OF MONEY October 11, 2009 M. Craighead (Bay Area, CA) 1 out of 18 found this review helpful
We bought the Peg Perego without doing much research when we had our son. Big mistake. [...]. For whatever reason the stroller will not turn good. It takes all my power to get it to turn. We have the 2008 model so maybe they have fixed that problem, but for all the problems ours had I doubt they fixed everything. We also boutht the carseat to go with it. Very safe, good reviews but extremely heavy. I am 5'7" and it was a struggle for me to lift it in and out of the car.
But without getting off the topic of the stroller, I can't warn buyers enough out there at what a waste of money this stroller is.
